In 1974, we opened our doors for business as Media Recovery, dedicated to helping Datacenters optimize their use of magnetic tape and printer ribbons through recycling.
Since then, we have grown into one of the largest distributors of magnetic tape products in the U.S. with more than half of the Fortune 1000 as clients. We engineered groundbreaking solutions like 100% Certified Tape and RFID Tape and Asset Tracking. And we became the first and only company in the industry to achieve SAS 70 certification.
In 2008, we renamed our company DataSpan, to better reflect how we have focused this history of innovation and expertise to meet one of the largest challenges you will face in the years to come: how to best store, access and protect your data throughout its entire lifespan.
